Company Philosophy

As the name implies, H&N International is a company operating on a global scale to serve the worldwide egg industry. In this regard, we understand that this is first of all a “people” business that encompasses various cultures from around the world. Personal relationships based upon mutual trust, respect and common interests form the basis of our dealings with our customers. For their part, customers have a right to expect only the best quality chicks with the maximum genetic potential that puts them at the forefront of a very competitive market environment. These products must be coupled with leading edge technical support.

From H&N’s founder Mr. Arthur Heisdorf, some important values were inherited. Among them are the following:

  • We are all proud of being part of the H&N team.
  • Always emphasize the scientific approach to breeding better chickens.
  • Don’t force scientific progress and always be curious and prepared for unexpected new ideas.
  • A breeding company can only remain successful if geneticists communicate well with their veterinary colleagues and jointly develop the best strategies for breeding farms and recommendations for customers.
  • The long term breeding goal is defined as the most profitable laying hen. In order to be successful in the long run, geneticists must predict accurately what the market will need tomorrow.
